Christ Jesus, thou second Person of the everblessed Trinity, I come to thee in obedience to thy express command; may I find rest and peace to my guilty soul. I seek earnestly, O grant that I may find thee. I look to thee with the eye of faith: look in mercy upon me. I pray that I may know thee experimentally and love thee supremely. Amen.

Impart to me, most merciful Father, spiritual wisdom and strength to abide in Christ, in order that my graces may be nourished, my sins mortified, that I may be able to obtain a victory over the world, get the mastery over flesh, to be
strong to contend with Satan, and obtain all necessary supplies. Hearken to my imperfect supplications for Christ Jesus' sake. Amen. This prayer is from the book "Daily Prayer Union". Enable me, O God, daily to cast on Christ my emptiness, and take his fulness; to cast on Christ my insufficiency and take his sufficiency; to cast on Christ my poverty and take his riches; to cast on Christ my sinfulness and take his
righteousness; and to cast on Christ my curse, and take his blessing. May I take Christ as my "wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption." Let Christ be my strenghth, riches, joy, and glory. Hear me for the Redeemer's sake. Amen. This prayer is from the book "Daily Prayer Union". O most merciful Father, enable me to lay hold, with the hand of faith, upon this all-important truth, that salvation is in Christ alone, that "there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved;" and that
Christ is our remedy, our ransom, our sacrifice, our hope, and our all. Help me with the eye of faith to "behold the son of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. Amen. This prayer is from the book "Daily Prayer Union". Give me, O God, a deep-seated affection for my Saviour. May I love him for what he is in himself,--infinite and boundless love--and for all he has done and suffered for the eternal happiness of man. I pray that, as I advance in years, my love to Christ may become stronger and stronger. Make me an eminently Christ-loving disciple, for his great name's sake. Amen.

I bow my knees unto the Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ, that he would grant me, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his spirit in the inner man; that Christ may dwell in my heart by faith; that I, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints, what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge that I may be filled with all the fulness of God. Amen.

I pray, heavenly Father, that I may know Christ experimentally, love Him, be found in Him, be conformed to His image, magnify Him, whether by life or by death, rejoice in His second coming, and look forward with unspeakable joy to the time when I shall be with Him, and enjoy His presence for ever. All I ask is for His sake. Amen.
This prayer is from the book "Daily Prayer Union". I confess, O God, my little knowledge of my Saviour, his Person and work. I pray that I may know more of my Saviour, think more of him, speak more of him, and live more like him. May I know more of his nature, attributes, and character. I
desire to know him to be "chief among ten thousand and altogether lovely." Grant this, for his great name's sake. Amen. This prayer is from the book "Daily Prayer Union". O God, open thou mine eyes, by thy Holy Spirit, fully to comprehend the wonders of Christ's person,--very God and very Man,--the wonders of his love, grace, and power; the wonders which he has achieved by his death, his burial, his glorious resurrection and ascension; the wonders he is achieving by his unfailing intercession, and but the out-pouring of the Holy Spirit; and the wonders yet to come, when he shall appear again a second time in power and great glory. Grant this, O Lord, forthe honour of my Redeemer. Amen.
