O God, open thou mine eyes, by thy Holy Spirit, fully to comprehend the wonders of Christ's person,--very God and very Man,--the wonders of his love, grace, and power; the wonders which he has achieved by his death, his burial, his glorious resurrection and ascension; the wonders he is achieving by his unfailing intercession, and but the out-pouring of the Holy Spirit; and the wonders yet to come, when he shall appear again a second time in power and great glory. Grant this, O Lord, forthe honour of my Redeemer. Amen.
